Copywriter

Secretlab is an international gaming chair brand seating over 3 million users worldwide, with our key markets in the United States, Europe and Singapore, where we are headquartered.

Being a digitally-native brand, we thrive in the online and social media space—and this is where you come in. You will be joining a world-class Marketing Communications team responsible for our globally distributed branded content, which generates 1-2 million daily impressions on our social media alone.

You are a driven creative with a clear vision of the Secretlab brand identity. You possess an intrinsic understanding of how copy shapes brand perceptions and drives action and the ability to articulate messaging hierarchies that fit various briefs.

This role requires a confident and clear communicator with effective presentation skills and the ability to appropriately challenge decisions and negotiate — ultimately getting targeted concepts across the line. You should be able to collaborate effectively with other team leads and the Deputy Head of Communications to support overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Write copy for all online and offline deliverables including social media, sales, event collateral, website, product packaging, and more.
• Work with senior writers to ideate and propose ideas that showcase concepts and copy across different platforms.
• Engage subject matter experts, engineers, developers, and more to understand and communicate highly specialized technical information to our target audiences. Produce content focused on research, development, and functionality of our products in exacting detail.
• Work with content specialists and the CRM Digital Marketing team to produce targeted copy for different audiences — tailored to specific channels, platforms, and stages of the marketing funnel.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to maintain and implement best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) research to help increase the visibility of our content in search.
• An assertive and clear communicator. Initiate feedback and sharing sessions with wider stakeholders to share evolving copy techniques and case studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, English Literature, or a related course of studies.
• 4-5 years of experience writing copy within a creative agency or in-house brand.
• A love for words. Keen understanding of the importance of word choice, rhythm, cadence, and logical flow. There is a reason behind every word you choose.
• A tactical mind in marketing and copywriting. Possess clarity of thought and have the ability to understand, unpack, and simplify complex concepts, with particular regard toward how products work.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
• Great attention to detail.
