To support that journey, we are searching for top talent and have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Software Engineering to strengthen our team.


This role is both strategic and operational, responsible for developing and managing new and existing IT applications. These include - but are not limited to - digital sales and self-care channels, retailer platforms, online and offline purchase systems, order management, service provisioning, top-ups, digital marketing, loyalty programs, B2B solutions, billing, logistic management, finance posting, mobile network, and resource inventory management. Your work will support the Prepaid, heya, and GOMO businesses, ensuring 24/7 reliable and resilient services for millions of active subscribers in Singapore.


As the lead contributor to the Fusion Platform, a next-generation digital BSS solution, you will drive the development and operation of highly configurable commerce, marketing, and customer care capabilities.

In this role, you will manage business stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product, overseeing multiple applications while driving strategic initiatives and workforce planning. You will lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering engagement and continuous improvement in engineering practices. With a growth mindset, you will tackle challenges with agility and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.


You will collaborate closely with teams to design well-architected solutions that deliver significant business impact. A deep understanding of the telco ecosystem - from digital channels to core systems and network infrastructure—is essential. You will work with talent across Singapore, Pune, and external vendors to deliver future-ready solutions.

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead the development and management of new and existing IT applications, ensuring seamless digital experiences across multiple domains, including digital sales, self-care, order management, service provisioning, loyalty programs, billing, finance, and mobile network operations.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement existing and new generation applications, ensuring highly configurable commerce, marketing, and customer care capabilities.
  • Ensure 24/7 reliability and resilience of IT services to support millions of active subscribers in Singapore.

Business & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product to align IT initiatives with strategic business goals.
  • Translate business needs into high-quality, deliverable IT solutions that ensure exceptional service and performance.
  • Drive digital transformation by unifying and simplifying consumer, retailer, and partner solutions.
  • Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels, influencing decision-making and driving change.

Team, Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations, including Singapore, Pune, and external vendors.
  • Plan, recruit, and engage talent within the approved headcount to ensure an efficient and motivated workforce.
  • Manage vendor relationships to optimize partnerships and ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering department.
  • Mentor, and develop team members, fostering their growth and professional development. Facilitate teams in resolving conflicts, managing prioritization challenges, and overcoming constraints to ensure effective collaboration and productivity.
  • Present ideas and outcomes effectively to senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Technical & Solution Delivery

  • Design and implement scalable, future-ready solutions with a deep understanding of the telco ecosystem, including digital channels, core systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure rapid, outcome-driven delivery while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs with minimal time to market.
  • Oversee application commissioning and decommissioning as part of strategic IT planning.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple IT and Network departments to ensure end-to-end solutions function seamlessly while adhering to all IT compliance requirements, policies, and standards.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX planning for IT applications, ensuring cost efficiency and value-driven investment.
  • Own operational decisions to ensure applications meet service expectations and adhere to SLAs.

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 12 overall experience with 5 experience in a management position
  • Extensive experience managing complex, large-scale applications and projects in the telecom sector, covering everything from commerce to customer care.
  • Proven track record of leading transformational change and delivering future-ready solutions.
  • Expertise in leading multi-location teams, including both internal and external members.
  • Strong ability to influence, persuade, and collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels, from senior leadership to managers.
  • In-depth expertise in digital solutions for the telecommunications industry.
  • Hands-on experience in ideation, solution design, architecture, engineering, production operations, and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering and application management for both cloud and data center environments, leveraging modern SDLC practices, automation, and high-security, high-performance customer and retailer-facing applications.
  • Solid understanding of business models of Prepaid, SIM-Only, or Non-Contract mobile services.
  • Deep understanding of complex problems and challenges, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged trade-offs through critical thinking.
  • Passion for building the right solutions and driving meaningful change to improve both business and technology outcomes.
  • Strong ability to resolve prioritization conflicts effectively and align teams on key objectives.
  • Excellent people management skills, fostering engagement and collaboration in diverse teams and multicultural environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, with the ability to influence stakeholders, drive implementation, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Effective communicator, capable of engaging internal and external stakeholders across different functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, optimizing partnerships for strategic success.
  • Strong team management skills, building high-performing teams and driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
