Ship Broker (Junior)

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Ship Broker to support the broking team in daily operations, deal execution and client relationship management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the maritime industry and grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior brokers in daily broking activities including fixing cargoes/ships, handling enquiries and preparing charter party documentation
• Maintain and update databases for cargo and vessel positions
• Build and develop relationships with shipowners, charterers and operators
• Track market movements and provide timely market intelligence to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare fixture recaps, daily reports, and presentations
• Handle post-fixture follow-up and liaise with operations and legal teams as required
• Attend industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Logistics or related fields
• Strong interest in the maritime/shipping industry
• Must be self-driven, mature & hardworking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good negotiation and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Fluency in Mandarin is a bonus
• Prior internship or experience in shipping, logistics or sales is advantageous but not required
