General Manager, Sales & Marketing

The Role

As part of leadership renewal process, our client is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated General Manager (GM) to drive the business development for its Singapore market. The GM is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and performance of the business unit in Singapore This role involves management of functions within the company, developing and implementing strategic plans, ensuring operational efficiency, managing budgets, and driving growth and profitability.

Reporting to the Group CEO of the precast concrete business unit and functionally to the CEO of Sales & Solutions based in Malaysia. The GM shall oversee and lead a team of 3 in Singapore office.

He/she should possess a deep domain knowledge of precast concrete business, demonstrating good understanding of Singapore construction landscape and has strong existing contacts/network and customer base.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve objectives and growth targets
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
• Lead, motivate and fostering a high-performing work environment within the business unit and intercompany relations.
• Oversee day-to-day operational works to ensure high standards of performance are met.
• Develop and to implement strategies to meet sales target.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Networking, nurturing, and developing relationships with customers.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry preferably in the precast concrete or construction materials industry. Experience in the leadership / management role will be an added advantage.
• Possess good business acumen, drive and self-motivation to succeed.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
