Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure that supports our company’s IT systems. You will work with various teams to ensure that all infrastructure components are secure, efficient, and scalable. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for managing complex IT environments. This is a direct permanent position with client.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud resources.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvements.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to servers, networking equipment, and storage.
• Configure, install, and support hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Work with security teams to implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and encryption standards.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support business needs and ensure that infrastructure resources are aligned with company goals.
• Automate infrastructure tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Manage disaster recovery plans and ensure backups and system restorations are completed as needed.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end users on infrastructure-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure engineering.

Requirements:

• A graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and networking hardware.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with database management systems and backup solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.
