System Security Architect (Cybersecurity Standards & Practices)

Job Description

We are seeking a System Security Architect to lead the definition and implementation of security architecture, standards, and engineering practices across enterprise-level systems. You’ll work closely with tech leaders, architects, and development teams to embed security into all phases of solution design and delivery—driving secure innovation in public and private cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security architecture and engineering standards
• Integrate security practices into DevOps and development workflows
• Support projects with security architecture input and risk mitigation strategies
• Collaborate on R&D initiatives involving security tools and technologies
• Guide teams in secure solution design and ensure compliance with standards
• Conduct security assessments, define controls, and ensure secure implementations
• Engage with stakeholders and support regulatory and audit requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience designing security architectures for complex IT systems
• Strong background in secure software or systems engineering
• Familiarity with cloud security and DevSecOps integration
• Knowledge of security threats, controls, risk assessment, and audit practices
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., government/security frameworks)
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Strategic thinker with hands-on experience
