Cloud Security Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premise platforms (Nutanix, VMware).
• Develop and enforce security policies and conduct assessments/audits of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into cloud projects.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and emerging threats.
• Provide training and guidance on cloud security best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis to mitigate security risks.
• Stay updated on security trends to enhance cloud security strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks, attack/defense strategies, and risk governance.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, network access, microservices, zero trust, and big data security.
• Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless security best practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or NodeJS for code auditing and development.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications such as CISM, CEH, or CRISC preferred.
• Experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
• Prior consulting experience, especially in the public sector (WOG experience preferred).
