Job Posting for Interface Engineer at THE BLUE BARREL PTE. LTD.
The Interface Engineer (C&S) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Interface Management
Identify, track, and manage all interfaces between civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines (e.g., M&E, architectural).
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of design and construction activities.
Develop and maintain an Interface Management Plan to document processes and responsibilities.
Technical Coordination
Review design drawings, specifications, and reports to identify potential clashes or conflicts.
Facilitate clash resolution and ensure all interface issues are addressed promptly.
Ensure that all designs are aligned with project requirements, codes, and standards.
Communication and Collaboration
Act as the primary point of contact for interface-related discussions between internal and external parties.
Organize and lead interface coordination meetings to align stakeholders on project deliverables and timelines.
Document and track the status of interface issues and resolutions.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure all interface activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and projectspecific guidelines.
Monitor project progress to verify that interfaces are completed according to schedule and quality standards.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks associated with design or construction interfaces and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor changes in design or project scope that may impact interfaces and manage their integration effectively.
Reporting
Prepare and present interface status reports to project managers and stakeholders.
Maintain detailed records of interface agreements, design reviews, and resolutions for future reference.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in interface management or coordination within civil & structural projects, preferably in large scale infrastructure or construction.
Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions.
Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done.
Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills
