Interface Engineer

The Interface Engineer (C&S) is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Interface Management

• Identify, track, and manage all interfaces between civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines (e.g., M&E, architectural).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of design and construction activities.
• Develop and maintain an Interface Management Plan to document processes and responsibilities.

Technical Coordination

• Review design drawings, specifications, and reports to identify potential clashes or conflicts.
• Facilitate clash resolution and ensure all interface issues are addressed promptly.
• Ensure that all designs are aligned with project requirements, codes, and standards.

Communication and Collaboration

• Act as the primary point of contact for interface-related discussions between internal and external parties.
• Organize and lead interface coordination meetings to align stakeholders on project deliverables and timelines.
• Document and track the status of interface issues and resolutions.

Compliance and Standards

• Ensure all interface activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and projectspecific guidelines.
• Monitor project progress to verify that interfaces are completed according to schedule and quality standards.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks associated with design or construction interfaces and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor changes in design or project scope that may impact interfaces and manage their integration effectively.

Reporting

• Prepare and present interface status reports to project managers and stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of interface agreements, design reviews, and resolutions for future reference.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in interface management or coordination within civil & structural projects, preferably in large scale infrastructure or construction.
• Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions.
• Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills
