Job Posting for Rolling Stock Engineers at THE BLUE BARREL PTE. LTD.
This is a contractual role where you will be working for the Systems Consultant Company for a large railway project. The incumbent will be responsible to manage the testing and wayside systems (signalling and communications) at the LTA test track facility. Testing may run on a 24-hour basis and therefore there may be unsociable hours working hours during critical parts of the project. Due to work pass restrictions, this role is only open to Singapore residents.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Min 15 years experience in the design, delivery and testing of new rolling stock vehicles
Min 5 years experience in interfacing testing of Rolling Stock and GoA4 signalling delivery
Experience in developing / executing test procedures for Rolling Stock
Ability to communicate and develop test plans and engage and influence stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team
Ability to produce and present monthly progress reports
Experience of working in small teams on time critical activities
Ability to interpret and present on complex rolling stock interface matters.
Desirable
Good understanding of the fundamentals of safe systems of work for undertaking testing of new signalling systems.
Delivery of projects through the complete life cycle, from concept to operational service, including knowledge of governing Standards and industry best practice.
Knowledge of LTA / APAD assurance regimes with testing and bringing assets into use and handover and introducing changes to Rolling Stock or Rolling Stock practices.
