[What the role is]
Lecturer (Chemical Engineering)
[What you will be working on]
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible in teaching of subjects related to Chemical Engineering and/or Common Science Programme. He or she is also expected to be engaged in the delivery of training programmes to the industry related to Chemical Engineering and research and consultancy work related to specialty chemicals, materials technology, urban sustainability or process manufacturing. The responsibilities include the following:
Conduct lectures, tutorials and practicums in full-time and part-time courses including evening classes.
Develop curriculum and teaching/laboratory facilities relevant to the industries.
Support course administration and coordination of subjects/programmes.
Engage the industry through collaborations leading to students’ projects and internships.
Supervise students in research projects.
Mentor students in character development and career readiness.
Provide pastoral care for students.
Perform other duties to support school functions.
[What we are looking for]
Qualification in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant industry or research experience in the chemical engineering field.
Passionate in teaching, training and mentoring students.
Keen to be involved in industry-relevant research.
Resourceful and able to work independently to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables.
