Assistant Nurse Educator - WC3

Description:

• Assist in conducting training needs assessments across all clinical nursing areas and departments.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs to address the competency and learning needs of nurses at all levels.
• Provide clinical supervision and support for newly hired nurses in their respective units through induction and ongoing nursing education programs.
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers, Clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to support staff development and in-service education initiatives.
• Assist in developing curricula based on feedback and recommendations related to training and practice issues to meet the hospital's current educational requirements.
• Support the preparation, review, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and clinical competency checklists for the department.
• Regularly assess nurses' competencies to ensure the maintenance and continuous enhancement of professional nursing standards and quality.
• Work alongside Nurse Managers/Clinicians in conducting performance appraisals for staff in their respective departments.
• Exercise careful management of the nursing education and training budget, ensuring accountability and responsibility for the budget allocated for each project.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing, or an equivalent qualification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate.
• Post-basic Specialty Certificate in Nursing Education, or an equivalent qualification.
• Current BCLS and AED certification, with instructor-level certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Senior Staff Nurse or Clinical Instructor.
