Cardiac Technologist - Central - WC3

Responsibilities:

• Provides haemodynamics monitoring support for coronary angiography, angioplasty, and other interventional radiological procedures.
• Performs Electrophysiology (EPS) studies in collaboration with cardiologists.
• Assists in post-catheterisation care of patients.
• Assists in code blue procedures in the cardiovascular laboratory.
• Performs ECGs, newborn hearing screenings, and other non-radiation procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department (DID)/Cardio-Vascular Laboratory (CVL).
• Assists in portering, preparing, and positioning patients for procedures.
• Provides administrative support within the DID and CVL departments.
• Provides on-call coverage for emergency CVL procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology/Physiology) or Diploma in Medical Technology (Cardiac Technology) / Biotechnology / Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EPS) studies.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Experience in Haemodynamics monitoring within an invasive laboratory.
• 5.5-day work week (42 hours per week).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• AHPC registered.
