Position Summary:

• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Must have experience working with children and teenage girls (12-18 years old).
• 44 hours per week, involving both day and night shifts.
• Preference given to candidates with Licensing Agency MSF (WSQ Mentoring to Youth).

Job Description:

The Therapeutic Care Worker (Youth Mentor) is responsible for providing trauma-informed care, supervision, and management to female adolescents who have experienced abuse or neglect. The role aims to promote wellness and enhance quality of life by meeting residents' basic personal, physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs.

• Perform daily operational duties and supervise residents in their activities.
• Assist residents with day-to-day challenges at Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre, ensuring their welfare and safety.
• Foster discipline and serve as a mentor/role model to residents.
• Assess, manage, and de-escalate crises or conflicts.
• Implement individual therapeutic interventions as per care plans developed by the treatment team.
• Contribute to meeting residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent.
• Experience working with at-risk youth.
• Basic processing and counseling skills.
• Familiarity with common trauma and abuse-related issues and disorders.
• Suitable emotional attributes and resilience.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Strong interpersonal skills for independent and team-oriented work.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude toward life and work.
• Ability to nurture while maintaining clear, consistent, and firm boundaries.
