A dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager specializing in Defence, NATO, and Space markets in Brussels. This professional is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities within the defence and space sectors, particularly with NATO agencies, European defence and space institutions, and key government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to engage with NATO agencies, EU defence and space organizations, and national security institutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the defence and space sectors, including procurement officers, military officials, and space industry leaders.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, NATO procurement cycles, European Space Agency (ESA) programs, and defence funding initiatives to identify business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Represent the company at industry events, defence expos, space conferences, and NATO-related summits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and bid managers, to prepare compelling proposals aligned with NATO, ESA, and EU defence requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with international defence and space regulations, security clearances, and export control laws.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the defence, security, space, or aerospace industries.
  • Strong knowledge of NATO procurement processes, European Defence Fund (EDF) initiatives, and ESA programs.
  • Established network within NATO, the European Defence Agency (EDA), European Space Agency (ESA), and relevant government bodies.
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated and politically sensitive environment.
  • Fluency in English is essential; French and/or Dutch is a plus.
  • Technical Awareness: Understanding of ICT, digital transformation, or cybersecurity projects in the EU public sector is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • 10 years of experience in sales or business development in the defence and space sectors.
  • Background in IT, cybersecurity, C4ISR systems, satellite communications, or space-based defence solutions.
  • Experience with EU and NATO framework contracts, tendering procedures, and space-related R&D programs.
