POLITICO Europe is seeking a Business Development Associate to join the POLITICO Brussels team. The Business Development Associate role is an entry-level position, ideal for goal-oriented candidates looking to develop their sales experience within a fast-paced environment. The Business Development Associate will work closely with our New Business, Account Management and Marketing teams.
What You’ll Do:
Identify and contact prospective clients using marketing campaigns, in-bound leads and prospecting strategies, including cold-calling
Schedule quality visits with top-tier contacts through lead qualification as well as consistent and creative outreach
Research potential clients to build a robust pipeline of prospects & identify key information to prepare Sales Executives for sales appointments
Coordinate meeting logistics and prepare marketing materials
Assist the New Business and Account Management teams throughout the evaluation process to ensure prospective clients receive the highest quality service and have an optimal experience
Support the marketing team in running campaigns that generate inbounds for the sales team
Act as a bridge between marketing and sales to ensure that qualified leads are handed over and processed effectively
What You’ll Need:
Required qualifications:
1-3 years professional experience (including internship/externship role)
A university degree
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong client service ethic
Written and verbal fluency in English
Preferred qualifications:
Fluency in any other European language
Highly organized and a team player
Solutions-focused
Positive attitude and flexible working style
Performs well under pressure
Able to prioritise and recognise business critical matters
