About the role
Our Internal Audit team, composed of 7 professionals, is integrated in the Internal Audit & Risk Management department and focuses on conducting audits on Solvay's corporate functions and more than 40 worldwide manufacturing plants in collaboration with Solvay's Audit Committee, Global Business Units and Global Business Services.
As an Internal Auditor, you will work on on and offsite fieldwork across international locations every quarter, gathering invaluable insights into Solvay's global operations, and actively contributing to process enhancements to support Solvay Group's objectives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to process enhancements and have a positive impact on advancing Solvay Group's objectives.
You will be accountable for:
Understanding Solvay’s activities and inherent operational risks;
Identifying the risks related to the audited entity or process and define the audit approach to ensure that identified risks are properly mitigated;
Ensuring the application and deployment of Solvay’s policies and procedures;
Performing tests to ensure that risk mitigating controls are effective;
Assessing potential risks associated with inefficient and/or lack of processes and procedures;
Issuing pertinent and value adding recommendations to the Group;
We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or Science. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Relevant work experience in Big 4 external audit or internal audit (at least 3 years) OR operational experience in the industry (R&I, finance, controlling, supply chain, manufacturing, etc., at least 4 years)
Competencies:
Advanced Excel knowledge;
SAP knowledge is a plus
Fluent in English. Additional proficiency in other languages such as French, Portuguese, Spanish, or German is considered a plus;
Experience with the digitalization of processes and/or data analytics expected.

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 38,960 EUR to 48,700 EUR (Annual Base Salary), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
