Business Analyst

At UniSystems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our UniQue team in Brussels!

What will you be doing in this role:

• Elicitation, analysis, specification, documentation, validation and management of requirements
• Business model and process analysis
• Business and functional analysis of IT applications
• Risk analysis
• Assistance in Business cases, Vision documents, Project Charters and Security Plans
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems
• Product ownership of agile product backlog (in charge, supporting or as backup) as proxy PO
• Supporting the development by the team and iteratively testing the solutions
• Follow up of the data analysis and data modelling
• Provision of security assessments and solutions associated with information systems
• Review, evaluate and test applications or (also third party) components to ensure integration with the other application components, and compliance with the requirements and standards.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in this position:

• A Bachelor degree and at least 13 years of relevant experience (or Master degree and at least 9 years of experience)
• At least 5 years experience in business and functional analysis
• At least 3 years experience in business process analysis and modelling
• At least 2 years experience with JIRA, UI testing, and UI/UX environments
• Experience as Product Owner or Scrum master would be an advantage.
• At least 2 years experience with UML, BPMN, SQL, Agile methodologies (RUP, Scrum, etc.), and modeling tools.
• Familiarity with backlog management, iterative planning, and estimation techniques.
• Strong understanding of information systems, software development, web applications, and multi-layer architectures.
• Ability to design, execute, and document tests, along with producing structured documentation (Use Cases, UML, Mock-ups, etc.).
• Comfortable working in technical meetings, using collaborative tools (Wiki), and navigating large organizations.
• A strong command of the English language (C1). A good level of French is an asset.
• Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner would be an advantage.
