Job Title: Consultant – Finance and Accounting

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Finance and Accounting Consultant with 8–10 years of relevant experience to join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and maintaining financial accounting practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (including SOX), and driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute accurate and timely accounting operations, including period-end closing activities.
• Maintain and control related balance sheets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, US GAAP, IFRS, and internal SOX controls.
• Review and perform actual entries following standard work instructions.
• Monitor and execute internal control processes, setting standards for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Expert Advisory for complex accounting cases or interpretation of new guidance.
• Identify and lead standardization, simplification, and automation initiatives (e.g., RPA, SAP4HANA).
• Support and contribute to finance-related projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Economics; CPA preferred.
• Experience: 8–15 years of relevant experience within the Financial Services domain.

Technical Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance.
• Familiarity with IT trends including SAP S/4HANA, RPA, big data, and continuous monitoring.
