Senior Financial Accountant:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for a long contract based in Eindhoven, NL

Role Description:

• Ensure proper and timely execution of related accounting.
• Maintain and control related balance sheets.
• Execute accounting in an effective and efficient way in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Perform and review actual entries based on standard work instruction
• Perform period end close activities
• Execute and monitor internal controls including SOX-controls
• Drive standardization, simplification and automation of the relevant processes
• Contribute on projects where relevant
• Set internal control standards for the related balance sheet accounts
• Responsible for 1st line accounting. Interacts with Expert Advisory on complex accounting cases and/or interpretation of existing or new guidance

Competencies: Finance and Accounting

Essential Skills:

• Professional (Education / Work Experience)
• Bachelor/ Masters degree in finance/business economics, preferably CPA
• Minimum of 8 to 15 years relevant working experience in Financial Services domain
• Functional/Technical (Skills/knowledge/competences)
• Experience with SAP ECC
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS incl. SOX
• Affinity with new IT developments (SAP4HANA, RPA, continuous monitoring, big data, et cetera)
• Behavioral (List behavioral competences)
• Ensures accountability
• Optimizes work processes
• Balances stakeholders
