Lead Cloud Engineer (AVS Migration)

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to oversee a complex on-premises-to-Azure migration using Azure VMware Solution.

This position requires extensive hands-on expertise in VMware and related technologies. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of Azure VMware Solution-based workloads, utilizing Azure Migrate and VMware tools to minimize downtime
• Configure network connectivity to on-premises and secondary cloud regions, ensuring secure and seamless traffic flow
• Manage critical infrastructure services, including load balancing, firewall rules, storage provisioning, and SQL database connectivity
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges while collaborating with architects, network engineers, and security teams
• Develop documentation and best practices to enhance knowledge sharing and bolster operational efficiency within the team
• Refine solution design and execution strategies, adapting to emerging Azure and VMware advancements

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and migration-focused projects
• 1 years of relevant leadership experience
• Strong background in large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, with expertise in Azure VMware Solution, VMware, and Azure Migrate
• Competency in network configuration, virtualization, load balancing, firewalls, storage, and SQL database integration
• Proficiency in resolving intricate infrastructure issues effectively in demanding scenarios
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice to have

• Qualifications in MS Cloud Migration Factory
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator or VMware credentials
• Familiarity with Terraform and next-generation firewall technologies
