Senior Cloud Engineer (AVS Migration)

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead a complex on-premises-to-Azure migration using Azure VMware Solution.

This position demands extensive hands-on experience with VMware and associated technologies. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security during the migration.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize Azure VMware Solution-based workloads, handling migration tasks using Azure Migrate and VMware tools for minimal downtime
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity to both on-premises and secondary cloud regions, ensuring secure traffic flow
• Deploy and manage critical infrastructure services, including load balancing, firewall rules, storage provisioning, and SQL database connectivity
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating closely with architects, network engineers, and security teams
• Contribute to documentation and best practices, sharing knowledge with team members to enhance operational efficiency
• Continuously refine and enhance the solution design and execution strategy, staying current with emerging Azure and VMware technologies

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud engineering and migration projects
• Proven experience with large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, including hands-on work with Azure VMware Solution, VMware, and Azure Migrate
• Strong technical expertise in network configuration, virtualization, load balancing, firewalls, storage, and SQL database integration
• Track record of efficiently troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Cloud Migration Factory
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator or VMware certification
• Familiarity with Terraform and next-generation firewall technologies
