The Role

As our Data Engineer focused on Growth Systems, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines that power our growth initiatives. You'll work closely with the Technical Growth Lead to ensure efficient data collection, processing, and delivery while maintaining high standards of data quality and system reliability.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for data collection
• Design, implement and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python
• Develop data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with teams on solutions
• Develop and maintain data validation frameworks to ensure data quality
• Create and optimize BigQuery operations for data processing and analytics
• Develop clear reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights
• Implement monitoring and alerting systems for data pipeline health
• Write clear technical documentation and SOPs in English

Technical Requirements

Essential:

• Strong Python development experience (2 years), particularly with data processing libraries like Pandas and NumPy
• Experience with web scraping and handling anti-bot measures
• Experience with rate limiting, proxy management and robust error handling
• Proven experience with ETL pipeline design and implementation
• Proven experience with BigQuery, especially batch operations and schema management
• Experience with thread-safe implementations and concurrent processing
• Strong understanding of data validation and quality assurance
• Git version control proficiency
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Looker/Microsoft BI)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Vertex AI and LLM APIs
• Basic understanding of ML pipelines and feature engineering
• Experience with distributed systems
• Knowledge of data security best practices

The Ideal Profile

• 2 years of experience in data engineering or analysis, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• English proficiency (B2 minimum), Spanish advantageous
• Strong technical skills including BigQuery, Python, and data visualization tools
• Excellent communication abilities to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Collaborative team player who can work effectively across teams
• An entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset eager to learn and make an impact
• Ability to balance detail-orientation and tactical execution with strategic thinking
