About the Job
The Sales Enablement Manager is focused on ensuring the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and knowledge to effectively engage prospects and customers, ultimately driving revenue growth. This role places a strong emphasis on providing enablement resources and strategies to support the entire sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Management: Create and curate sales content, including sales collateral, playbooks, case studies, and objection handling guides. Ensure that the content is up-to-date, relevant, and easily accessible to the sales team.
- Sales Process Optimization: Collaborate with sales leadership to refine and optimize the sales process, ensuring that it is aligned with customer needs and market trends. Provide guidance on how to effectively use tools and resources at each stage of the process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management, customer success, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment between sales and other functions. Provide input on the creation of sales-relevant content and campaigns.
- Sales Training Development: Develop and deliver training programs that cover a range of topics, including product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer communication skills.
- Onboarding and Ramp-up: Design and manage an effective onboarding program for new sales hires, helping them quickly acclimate to the company's culture, products, and sales processes. Analyze individual and cohort productivity to inform future enablement programs.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to the sales team, helping them refine their skills, overcome challenges, and achieve their performance targets.
- Sales Floor Communication: Create effective communication that disseminates sales messaging to the sales specialists
- Feedback Loop: Establish a feedback loop with the sales team to gather insights on the effectiveness of enablement resources and strategies. Use this feedback to continuously improve and iterate on sales enablement initiatives.
- Change Management: Adapt enablement strategies and resources as the company introduces new products, enters new markets, or experiences changes in the competitive landscape.
- Sales Enablement Events: Plan and execute sales enablement events, such as sales kick-offs, workshops, and training sessions, to foster team collaboration and skill development.
- Create and facilitate team wide training events, workshops and sessions to help sales and post-sales teams maximize their efforts. Use pipeline data and insights to proactively identify weaknesses in sales skills and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the sales enablement strategy and initiatives, making adjustments based on feedback, metrics, and changing business needs.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in sales training and sales enablement
- Experience creating and facilitating sales training
- Demonstrated sales operational proficiencies
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing direct reports
- Tech-savvy, experience in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or other)
- Proficient in managing projects; is self-motivated to work independently and take ownership for work performed
- Ability to recognize evolving trends and offer guidance related to their potential impact and solutions for seizing the opportunities
- Ability to build strong internal relationships, and influential leadership to affect change across groups outside of their direct function
- Great liaison with all other department members (marketing, finance, and operations)
- Experience implementing and deploying training on modern sales methodologies, sales process, and buyers journey alignment
- An excellent communicator: You are able to distill complex concepts and processes into clear and digestible information, both in written and verbal communication
- Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply across a wide variety of learning solutions
- Thrive and lead effectively in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing, and fast-paced environment: is comfortable with ambiguity
