Department Overview The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for directly selling Motorola Solutions products and services through achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas for a pre-established set of accounts designated by Field Sales Management. Job Description Motorola Solutions is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demands. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. If your background is a match to our requirements, we’ll follow up with an exploratory conversation. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for phone-based selling and other revenue generating activities (outbound calling, lead generation & follow-up, call campaigns on promotion launches, prospecting, email campaigns, etc) within their assigned territory and vertical market. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Be a hunter through cold calling and email leads Aggressively prospect and qualify potential clients generated through outbound calling, email initiatives and attending appropriate industry events defined by sales management Attend customer specific meetings, conferences and technology forums, as directed by the sales team Learn and understand the assigned territory government processes, to include but not limited to, State Term Schedules, Purchase Ordering Processes, Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ), and sealed bids Keep current with industry trends that are relevant to targeted vertical markets Have a technical understanding of and ability to articulate and demonstrate Motorola’s products and value proposition Additional Knowledge/Skills: Possess a strong phone presence and superior communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal) Perseverant; works hard and handles objections well Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Salesforce BA/BS in business or marketing preferred Desired Behaviors: Thrive in a competitive team-oriented environment Strong organization and administration skills Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Commitment to company vision, mission and values Willing and able to contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed **This is a hybrid role base in our Chicago, IL office** #LI-RO1 Basic Requirements Graduating with a bachelor's degree on or before July 2024 or 2 years of sales/customer service experience Travel Requirements Under 10% Relocation Provided None Position Type New Grad Referral Payment Plan No Our U.S. Benefits include: Incentive Bonus Plans Medical, Dental, Vision benefits 401K with Company Match 9 Paid Holidays Generous Paid Time Off Packages Employee Stock Purchase Plan Paid Parental & Family Leave and more!
