10000890 - Facilities Cross Functional Technician is Hiring a Facilities Technician – HVAC/R Near Philadelphia, PA

 The Philadelphia, PA site manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The site consists of two geographic locations - a production facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia and a storage and distribution facility in Bensalem. The two facilities employapproximately 140 employees. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our product is sold in the US, UK, and other countries. Operations continue year-round, with the production season during the summer (typically May–August). Our site is highly collaborative where we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. We have a network of employee teams who deliver many kinds of employee engagement activities, from our famous Wingbowl, to inclusion events, site celebrations, community outreach, health and wellness activities.

In this role, you're required to support a Biologics Manufacturing Facility. As the expert in refrigeration systems within cold rooms, refrigerators, freezers, ultra-low freezers (-80C), incubators and HVAC systems. You will repair and maintain utility and facility equipment, such as air handlers, refrigeration, cold rooms, chillers, boilers, pumps and drive systems. You possess expertise of electrical, 3-Phase Power and power distribution systems. You will complete any required (GxP) documentation in a timely manner, including logbooks and work orders. You will work with water purification processing and sanitization skids, clean steam, chemical or water treatment equipment and autoclaves. You will be capable of working in a clean room environment and able to work a Day shift – 8 hours. Some weekends. You will also support 24X7 as secondary rotational on-call support.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Must have HVAC/R Solving experience

• HS diploma 
• Certificate of completion at a 2-year technical school, or experience in plant or equipment maintenance, or military training and experience majority of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• 5 years of experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R, electrical, and utility equipment.
• Must be familiar with mechanical schematics, piping diagrams P&IDs, and electrical schematics
• Must have experience using basic hand tools
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Must have clear communication, both orally and written
•Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Possess Control/Instrumentation Wiring knowledge
• GMP/Critical Facility Experience (Preferred)
