Job Description:
Service Technician
Company:
National franchise system specializing in the sale, installation and service of medical/mobility/ accessibility equipment and adaptive aids such as ramps, stair lifts, vehicle lifts (to transport scooters), ceiling mounted and portable patient lifts, pool lifts, vertical platform lifts, home elevators, home modifications and more.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Install and maintain the equipment noted above as well as power wheelchairs and scooters; provide in-home technical assistance; coordinate with office manager, clients and vendors throughout the sale, installation and service process; assist in the maintenance of the warehouse and shop space, vehicles and inventory.
Requirements:
Proficient with mechanical and/or construction tasks with 1 years related experience; ability to trouble shoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems; strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly; strong communication skills, both orally and in writing; ability to read and understand technical materials, including installation manuals; literate with computers; ability to safely lift 100 pounds of equipment and other materials; professional appearance; clean driving record; must be able to pass a background check and drug test as well as provide references; must be able to travel within the Austin metropolitan area, as well as outlying areas (e.g., Waco, San Marcos, etc.); elevator experience is a plus, but is not required.
Candidates must have a track record of reliability and ability to be at work on time.
