Job Title
BUSINESS CONTEXT
Think of an e-ticket as a contract across all the stages of your trip: from Ticket creation through boarding and flying... If you change plans, face difficult climatic conditions (or get kicked off the plane ...), refunds or exchanges can also be performed.
Behind the scene, the control of your ticket is circulating between different airlines systems and financial transactions are taking place. Amadeus airline customers have a complex system to orchestrate all these transactions: the Amadeus Ticketing Server!
You will be working on a mission-critical system and designing innovative solutions for our airline customers as part of dynamic team mixing Business Analysts, Software Engineers and DevOps and collaborating with an Agile mindset.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Analyze and specify requirements and solution as part of delivery of projects.
Recognized authority for Order Ticketing business domain able to provide direction for others in the division on site and in other time zone.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for major, complex and also smaller projects within the Product Development Team, coordinating any or all of the following areas: feasibility, functional specification, user acceptance test, Production System verification and functional support of the customer
Mentor junior Member in the team in their development
Main Responsibilities:
- Planning and Delivery
Contribute to the PI planning activities, sizing tasks, highlight dependencies, risks.
Understand the priorities and closely work the with the team to plan the deliverables
Coordinate, Interface and communicate Application Development and Product Management teams to maintain functional knowledge in order to permit test plan design and functional testing of bug fixes and development of regression scripts.
Maintain, improve and plan the evolution of test plans within an entire business area
Coordinate, execute, analyse and report problems for functional tests.
Size specify, test and other relevant phases for large or complex projects, providing practical and robust estimates for completing each aspect of the assigned project
Coordinate and conduct detailed functional analysis of complex requirements.
Design extensive process solutions and take part in feasibility study.
Has responsibility for producing high profile specifications, writing test plans, conducting testing, recording results, and managing customer sign off.
Review change requests and change proposals and feasibility studies for large or complex projects.
Interface with relevant departments to identify interaction with other Amadeus packages and ensure functional compatibility.
Carry out functional product reviews with the Development team and Product Management for any project, including projects that are large or complex.
Coordinate testing and test product to ensure compliance of delivered functionality and functional integrity and perform, UAT testing and functional sign-off (FVT acceptance)
Provide functional support for Customers and stakeholders and provide possible workarounds, enhancements on major functional areas
Build/influence solutions, balancing quality/value and our constraints.
Negotiate scope/dates with stakeholders, including customers
Validate deliveries

Has good general knowledge of Order ticketing processes and how they relate to other business processes in the Amadeus world
Has in-depth knowledge and is recognised as an expert in multiple functional business areas and ideally beyond to relate things together.
Build an understanding of the relationships between work processes and the business - both within and beyond the horizons of the immediate team.
Provide information to the Product Manager or other departments as necessary to allow elaboration of business cases and RFP responses.
Keep up to date with industry standards, product changes, developments and needs.
Actively grow knowledge of new business areas
Participate in building a vision for the product
Build and maintain end-to-end knowledge of our products and their usage
Build a relationship with the different stakeholders around the globe
- Project Support
Provide support on our features (to other teams, PMs, customer, implementation)
Analyze issues and provide solution on existing product reported by customers
- Procedural Knowledge
Gain an appreciation of the standards of work required, project life cycle and Amadeus methodologies and propose enhancements.
Maintain interface and communication with representatives of business units to inform them about product development.
Understand the specific and evolving database and environment configuration required to support functional testing and coordinate with other groups to ensure these are fulfilled.

Build stable and useful working relationships.
- Knowledge sharing and support
Provide guidance and support for Product Development Analysts and programmers Software Developers.

Ask questions, check for understanding and provide clear and precise explanations.
Relevant Work Experience:
Proven experience as Business Analyst (BA) in Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and Agile Methodology.
Thorough knowledge and experience in Airline Industry in particular Ticketing, Order management, NDC etc
Experience working with customers
Autonomy, proactivity and Ability to deal with critical situations and drive its resolution
Travel business knowledge is preferred.
Functional experience on large or complex projects
Experience of UML design is a plus
Willing to take on Agile role is a plus
