What you’ll be doing: This role will have accountability for providing support to the product line(s) to improve their performance through the use of customer and internal data analytics to measure and report on performance, development of actionable insights, and the supporting collateral. The person in this role will work with cross-functional teams to enable the development and implementation of fact-based, data-driven product line profit growth strategies and executional plans organized around the overall mission to maximize the value the product lines deliver for the Primient. The job requires an individual who can learn quickly. The successful candidate needs to be comfortable aggregating internal and external data from many different sources, developing thoughtful, actionable insights and priorities based on the data, and working with product line leaders to develop all of it into an executable plan. Details about what you will be doing: Provide analytic support for developing the growth strategy and value acceleration projects (VAP) for the product lines market trends and opportunities, including supply & demand factors input costs and drivers customer and competitive analysis business cases for additional capital investment Support the development of an activity-based AOP (annual operating plan) and implementation of the Primient Operating Model across the Sweeteners and Fermentation Develop product and customer mix strategies and work with Sales team to implement Utilize pricing tools/analytics to support annual contracting strategies (volume, price, mix) Work with Sales on regular account maintenance activities (forecasting, compliance, etc.) and performance improvement plans Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify and support innovation and productivity initiatives across product, process, and/or service to deliver consistent & reliable execution with customers (i.e. Value Chain analysis, removing bottlenecks, improving yields or quality, product / packaging rationalization, optimizing global best practices) Work with Finance partners to translate commercial perspectives into financial forecasts What you’ll need to have: Engineering, Sales and/or Finance training is preferred 2 years of relevant experience Breadth of experiences collaborating across functions is preferred (commercial, manufacturing, finance, etc.) Self-starter with high level of intellectual agility, initiative and flexible thinking Highly numerate, strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with an inquisitive mind-set to find solution Able to present complex issues, idea and solutions in a simple way Ability to be assertive while being tactful and diplomatic Knowledge and experience in using analytic methods (i.e. Six Sigma, Value Chain Analysis, SKU Optimization) is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong Excel and Power Point skills Primary Location This job will be based out of our Schaumburg, Illinois office.
