1199SEIU Employment Center is Hiring a Lab Technologist Near New York, NY
Lab Technologists receive and access specimens. Prepare reagents and specimens for microscopic examination, perform lab tests, and analyze and report findings. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and laboratory procedures, including maintaining cleanliness of lab equipment, instruments, and work area.
Qualifications:Qualifications
- BS degree or higher in Medical Lab Sciences with appropriate clinical training
- NYS License required
- 1 year minimum related experience
- Experience/Registry in Blood bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and/or Pathology areas required
- ASCP strongly preferred
- Current BCLS/ACLS required
- Bilingual is a plus
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week.
- General shift availability:
- Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p)
- Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a)
- Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions.
COVID-19 vaccination is required.
