Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with the Director, to oversee the newly formed Division aligned with healthcare industry and stakeholder goals to implement outreach for unemployed and underemployed community residents
·Direct, supervise and develop Field and Workforce Development staff conducting community assessments, surveys and working with partners to recruit candidates for the Career Pathway Training (CPT) program
·Monitor work of Field and Workforce Development staff to identify best practices that ensure quality partnerships and programs
·Evaluate partnerships and programs and lead continuous improvement efforts
·Collaborate with other TEF divisions to recruit, support and refer CPT candidates
·Develop strategies and content as needed to promote CPT pathways and collaborations with community partners.
·Implement workplan and evaluation of TEF community-based partnership and engagement efforts
·Assist with developing and conducting specific community needs assessments and coordinate, as needed, efforts with Research & Evaluation team
·Observe/join staff in the field to provide support, feedback and coaching to ensure quality programming
·Maintain effective relationships with key local organizations and community partners aligned with TEF strategies
·Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Education, Healthcare or equivalent years of experience; Master’s degree preferred
·Minimum six (6) years' experience in training, consulting, education, workforce development and four (4) years supervisory experience required
·Ability to scan political terrain and identify areas of improvement
·Excellent analytical and project management skills; Excellent relationship building and skills
·Ability to create and build relationships, gain confidence of external organizations; be able to identify joint interests and areas of collaboration
·Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work both independently and as a team player
·Strong active listening skills, good self-awareness, ability to recognize impact on others and ability to manage boundaries
·Proficient in Microsoft Office
·Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as needed
·Ability to travel to various sites in Greater New York area (including Long Island and Westchester as needed)
