Immediate Opening for a Production Engineer in the Dayton, Ohio area.

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure production machines are up and running on a daily basis and that required materials are ready and in place for daily start up. 

• Oversee calibration, machine parameters, and tooling maintenance on a daily basis.

• Fix/Repair machines as needed. Perform required maintenance as needed. 

• Perform micro weld studies and oversee adjustments to machines as needed to maintain quality standards.

• Assist with weld development projects. Uses micro-lab equipment to measure weld depth, width, and hardness. Creates weld study presentations for customer. 

• Assist with APQP document preparation, PPAP documents, and Gauge R&R. 

• Design and modify tooling and gauges for new and existing machines using SolidWorks and other design methods. 

• Take part in new and reconfigured machine projects by designing parts, performing layouts, and assembly. 

Qualifications:

• Must have people skills and professional attitude. 

• Responsible, dedicated, and prompt. 

• Problem solving and decision-making skills. 

• Experience working with the mechanical and electrical aspects of production machines. 

• General experience working with mills and lathes. 

• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and optical measuring tools. 

• Ability to use SolidWorks and understand how to create and read prints. 

• Basic Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

• Good mechanical skills, solid understand of machinery, and good competency with hand tools. 

• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

• Ability to drive a forklift and load/unload trucks. 

• Experience working in ISO9000 certified environment. 

Schedule: M-Th 6AM-3:30PM Friday 6AM-10AM
Pay: $19-21/hr
