These programs support adolescents, teenagers and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, and complex trauma. To succeed in this role, you must show an understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve. When you join our team, you will be enrolled in our training program designed to build the skills and confidence needed to meet your job requirements and build your career with us. As a Direct Support Professional - 3rd Shift, you will: Provides supervision, coaching, modeling, engagement, and support of students in all aspects of daily living, recreation activities, self-care skills, social and peer interaction, community integration, and emotion regulation while they are awake. Implements agency and individual treatment approaches for students as identified in ITPs, IEPs, and as established by the treatment team. Provides overall support to the students by helping with transition times as well as responding to and assisting with crisis situations including but not limited to behavioral incidents and elopement. Remain awake during working hours of 10pm-7am roughly. Ensures that students are properly and appropriately supervised during sleeping hours with 15 minute documented checks. Toilets the students during the evening as needed Attend team meetings as scheduled Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in a social or behavioral science field preferred. Minimum one year of experience working with children and/or adults having developmental and behavioral disabilities with associated emotional, neurological, and intellectual disorders in a residential setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and effectively solve problems. Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining self-composure and self-control. Self-motivated and able to work under minimal direct supervision. Valid Wi driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per company policy. Schedule & Benefit Information This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position that requires availability to work alternating weekends and a holiday rotation.
