The SF Information & Technology Services (SF ITS) group is responsible for the strategic planning and provisioning of technology products and services to the Bank and across the Federal Reserve. Enterprise Architecture function sets the Bank’s architecture strategy in support of business line product strategies, optimizes how users experience technology, and aligns it to the needs of the business through continuous innovation, technical governance, and hands-on delivery leadership. The Head of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading the SF ITS Enterprise Architecture Function, which is responsible for the Enterprise Reference Architecture(s), its management, and evolution. Additionally, you will own business architecture for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (the "Bank") and is responsible for outreach and collaboration with the Federal Reserve System's National IT organization. You will also lead the DevOps and Database Administration functions. You will report to the SF ITS Chief Information Officer (CIO). Essential Responsibilities: Provides primary leadership for business technology, strategic planning, and the enterprise agenda for technology innovation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and IT practices. Leads the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive enterprise business, technical, and solution architecture requirements. Expertise in running active governance and advisory groups such as Local Architecture Review Board, System Advisory Group Serves as principal technology transformative, change agent, and advocate for emerging technologies that offer potential business value. Analyzes technology, industry, and market to determine their potential impact on the enterprise. Supervises all architectures including applications, data, platforms, tools, infrastructure, data interchange, and common applications. Promotes the enterprise architecture process, outcomes, and results to the organization including the enterprise's IT and business leaders. Analyzes the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement. Understands, advocates, and supports the enterprise's information technology strategies. Leads the creation and/or evolution of the enterprise architecture function or program including the coordination of an appropriately inspired staff in pursuit of relatively balanced enterprise architecture viewpoints. Identifies organizational requirements for resources (financial, skill, and process) as well as the structures and cultural change necessary to support the enterprise architecture. Oversees enterprise architecture implementation and ongoing refinement activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, change management, strategic planning or a related field, or equivalent work experience 15 years of professional experience and 12 years of IT management/dynamic people and business leadership experience. Exceptional experience in actionable enterprise architecture as well as other software and technology architecture trades including Solutions Architecture, Data Architecture, Business Architecture, and Application and Solution's Architecture and Development. Expertise and experience to lead design, planning, and implementation of initiatives that include but are limited to the following spaces: Business transformation, Cloud migration, Application modernization, Cloud native development, Cloud managed services, Cloud Governance, Data transformation, and DevSecOps. Experience in creating and implementing cloud solutions using Amazon Web Services(AWS) and multi-cloud strategies. Expertise to architect and develop secure, scalable, and resilient cloud strategies and solutions that enable cloud adoption acceleration, emerging application design, future state architecture, development, and seamless deployment through infrastructure pipelines. Expert change manager, trusted advisor and strong business value communicator. Assess and determine migration strategies and plans for all types of cloud migrations (Re-hosting, Re-platforming, Re-Architecting, etc.) Analyze hard problem sets and emerging technology needs and supports the development of cloud capabilities and unleash power of data for frictionless insights to meet these challenges through active participation in supporting innovation and internal research and development efforts. Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure that our cloud-based solutions align with our organizational goals. Drive architectural governance through principles, standards, guidelines, and architectural reviews, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Proficient and active practitioner of the TOGAF framework Knowledgeable about BIZBOK, Zero Trust Architecture Good experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
