Come be part of our journey, as a Product Owner, internally known as Business System Analyst IV, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Product Manager and Engineering Director, business partners and users to capture the right business requirements and accurately translate them to specifications that aid design, coding and testing of moderate/ complex software within the organization. You will be expected to engage with business and technology partners to support the conversion of their ideas into development user stories. You will provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced peers, and you will have authority to assign work tasks and review work of lower-level peers. You will also assist department manager/director in developing processes and standards. *This is a hybrid (twice-a-week, in office) role in our Raleigh, Jersey City, Hartford, or NYC offices. Job Description Build relationship with the users and stakeholders within Arch Commercial Property Insurance, Catastrophe Modeling, and Risk Analytics, deeply understand their workflows, needs, and pains. Maintain documentation around users, personas, workflows, rules, and data flows. Write epics, present them to the stakeholders. Work with the stakeholders and users on the requirements, Identify MVP, create increment level test plan and roll out plan. Collaborate with the Engineering Director/Managers on the epic successful and timely delivery. Write user stories, collaborate with BSAs and sprint teams on splitting the stories into small vertical chunks using INVEST criteria, drive backlog refinement, maintain refined backlog for the upcoming 3 months Help testers and BSAs to write Acceptance Criteria and Test cases, ensure high quality and test coverage. Participate in Scrum events, plan, prioritize, provide the teams with clarity about requirements and priorities Communicate the product vision to the teams, provide clarity on how the product area fits into the bigger vision, help the communication flow back and forth between the teams and stakeholders. Participate in Product planning sessions and other product level scrum events around product level initiatives, present and lead the discussion around increments specific to the product area. Maintain release notes and share with the business stakeholders Requirements: 3-5 Years of experience as a Product Owner in Scrum or SAFe (or similar) environment Deep understanding and a passion for Agile, product management, incremental delivery. Strong skills around writing stories focused on the user and business value, vertical slicing, INVEST criteria (or similar) Experience facing business stakeholders, have a deep understanding of the business process and user workflow. Experience working with Insurance business (commercial property and catastrophe modeling/risk analytics is a plus) A go getter attitude. Active, engaged, self starter, a person who knows what needs to be done, who will go out of their way, build relationships. For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. $155,000 - $165,000/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
