At 1888 Industrial Services, we cover a wide range of industrial markets and provide services for oil & gas, commercial & industrial piping systems, full paint/coating shop services, and general commercial and industrial sectors. The mechanic will oversee day-to-day and preventive maintenance of all company fleet including heavy trucks, heavy equipment, light trucks, and more. The mechanic will work closely with teammates to repair equipment on a timely basis to ensure our operations can continue running. Applications will be accepted till July 31, 2024.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Inspections and diagnoses of fleet
• Properly fix and maintain vehicles and equipment
• Run diagnostic tests
• Oil changes and brake checks
• Maintain records and inventory of all parts
• Physically capable to do the job.
• Maintain the shop to a clean and safe standard
• Any other duties that may be required or assigned

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience servicing and maintaining equipment daily.
• Experience must include at least 2 of the following: Heavy truck, heavy equipment, diesel, light truck, and automotive and gen set.
• Maintenance must be timely and accurate.
• Dependable, reliable, and self-starter
• Excellent communication skills

Company Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• CDL is a plus but not a requirement
• Salary range: $25-$40 an hour, depending on experience and/or certifications.

Physical requirements

• More than 75% of the time will be spent kneeling, bending, squatting, walking, and carrying up to 50 LBS.
• Less than 25% of the time will be spent sitting, driving, and doing desk work.
