1st Defense Security is seeking a highly skilled and licensed armed guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, employees, and customers. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, professional, and possess excellent judgment in handling potentially sensitive situations.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol the premises regularly to maintain a visible presence and deter any potential threats.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to any suspicious activity.
• Conduct thorough security checks of individuals entering and exiting the store.
• Escort employees or customers to and from their vehicles, particularly during evening hours.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies, including but not limited to theft, vandalism, or medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on the premises.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid armed security guard license issued by NM RLD.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security or related fields is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
