Our client in the Duluth area is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a great role with a company that is constantly looking to advance their technology and processes to become more efficient. They have a great leadership team and office environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately enter and review invoices within the Accounts Payable module for processing. This candidate should have experience working within a high volume environment and experience working with a large team.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices both manually as well as within an invoice capture automation tool
• Audit invoices within system for accuracy prior to payment to ensure data is correct and to prevent any duplicate payments to vendors
• Manage time efficiently and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely fashion to resolve outstanding requests for information
• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accurate and timely payment processing
• Review purchase orders against invoices for accuracy and guarantee accuracy of 3-way matching process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field a plus
• 5 years in high volume Accounts Payable environment
• Strong understanding of General Ledger system and Accounts Payable processing
• Strength working with large ERP systems
• Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with use of Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
• Requires a positive attitude and ability to work well with a team and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
