ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides a wide range of office services such as typing, customer and employee phone inquiries, filing, orders flood certifications, report generation and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Attracts, advises and serves existing and prospective customers through the Bank's customer centered marketing plan:
    • Informs customers of available Bank services;
    • Directs and immediate response to customer requests or needs;
    • Prompt and efficient ability to process customer transactions;
    • Provides customers and Branch professionals with timely information directly or by phone.
  • Assists in compiling data for various reports as directed by the Mortgage Loan Department Head
    • Compiles accurate and timely information.
  • Assists Residential Mortgage Loan Department Head in overseeing the daily operations of the department.
  • Responsible for daily operations of portfolio transactions:
    • Reviews applications for completeness;
    • Makes appropriate entries to set up data base and enter loan information;
    • Prepares preliminary disclosures;
    • Reviews credit ratios, orders appraisal, and flood certification;
    • Follows up for missing documentation and insurance information;
    • Sends attorney instruction letter and coordinates closing with attorney;
    • Reviews preliminary title policy;
    • Prepares closing documents and escrow analysis worksheet;
    • Forwards documents to attorney and/or branches;
  • Disburses funds and books all Richland office and branch loans;
  • Sets up and disburses construction loan accounts.
  • Responsible for daily operations of secondary market transactions:
    • Reviews applications for completeness;
    • Makes appropriate entries to set up data base and enters loan into to MPF system;
    • Prepares preliminary disclosures;
  • Orders appraisal;
  • Clears conditions and prepares loan package;
  • Sends attorney letter;
  • Coordinates closing;
  • Uploads loan file to MPF system;
  • Prepares tickets for income received.
  • Sets secondary market rates;
  • Emails rates to all loan officers;
  • Initial contact for the secondary market.
  • Reviews pending mortgage files for proper documentation and collateral.
  • Compiles settlement sheets and disclosure statements.
  • Participates in Loan Administration and Mortgage Department's long- and short-term goals and objectives:
    • Attends annual meeting to develop Departmental goals;
    • Attends monthly relations meetings to discuss and evaluate "progress" on meeting goals and objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and business/technical writing skills
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to follow through on details to completion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITY:

This position does not supervise employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 to 3 years’ experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness.
  • Ability to communicate in person, through email or via telephone with customers and staff members.
  • Ability to sit or stand for an extended period.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
