Job Description:

• The Operations Analytics group at client is growing! This business function began mid-2023.
• We need someone to effectively bring data from external environments into the internal client s environment as well as build clean datasets for further BI needs.
• The team needs data to land in relational databases- we use Microsoft SQL Server and have a longer-term plan for Snowflake.
• This person should have experience using ETL/ELT tools such as tray.io, PowerShell, SSIS, etc.
• We are open to using other automation tools if they meet business needs.
• The team currently has strong data visualization skills and we need a Data Engineer who understands how data needs to be modeled for it.
• This is an exciting opportunity to work with large datasets from many different tools within Operations.
• We work with data in tolling operations, customer contact center, image processing, billing, risk & compliance, and finance.

Required Qualification:

• Degree in an analytical field (finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science, economics) or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• PowerShell (nice to have)
• tray.io experience (nice to have)
• git repository for data analytics (nice to have)
• Python for data engineering (nice to have)

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering role (business intelligence, data science, data engineering, etc)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to bridge the gap, speak both business and information technology languages
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes
• Understanding of data stewardship
• Ability to validate logic with limited oversight and limited technical documentation
• Expert SQL
