As the cook you are responsible for preparing ingredients at the restaurant at the Holiday Inn Franklin-Cool Springs, processing customer orders, producing meals, and cleaning your workspace throughout the day to comply with health and safety guidelines. The dishes are prepared by following the brand standard recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff, and prepare garnishes to create an attractive presentation for each meal.
You are are responsible for delivering food that is not only delicious and cooked to the specifications of the customer but that is safe and fresh as well. Your primary responsibilities will be:
  1. Preparing Ingredients: Measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients as needed.
  2. Cooking and presenting Meals: Following recipes to create dishes to the restaurant's standards and customer preferences. Arrange garnishes etc. to attractively present the dishes to our guests.
  3. Quality Control: Ensuring that food is fresh, properly cooked, and presented attractively.
  4. Adhering to Safety Standards: Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety guidelines.
  5. Managing Inventory: Keeping track of ingredients, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  6. Handling Customer Requests: Making adjustments to orders based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  7. Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff and communicating effectively with wait staff.
  8. Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly cleaning workstations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic workspace.
  9. Executing Opening and Closing Procedures: Perform tasks required to open and close the kitchen efficiently.
  10. Set Up Workstations: Prepare workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
