THE ROLE:
The Community Supports Finance Director will partner with the CFO and CS Brand Leadership teams to drive growth through the financial lens. This individual will lead the Revenue Cycle Management team day-to-day and reporting analysts, while taking on projects related to acquisitions, organic growth strategies, MCO contracts, minimum wage analyses, and OPEX management. This individual will partner with other leaders to benchmark performance against goals, and drive meaningful conversations and analyses that will improve the companies. This individual will partner and collaborate with the Assistant Controller on monthly reporting and NetSuite related projects, as well as FinOps and FP&A teams to drive budget performance and data analyses to continue growing the business.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: Partner with finance teams to develop annual budgets for topline revenues, cost of revenues, gross margin, and operating expenses (OPEX) for the CS division.
- Performance Monitoring: Review monthly P&Ls and bi-weekly operational reports to monitor divisional performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Topline Growth Strategy: Support topline growth initiatives with VP of Community Development by analyzing Salesforce data, creating go-to-market strategies, and managing topline KPIs such as leads, referrals, conversion rates, and census.
- Margin Management: Utilize financial acumen to manage gross margin, including analyzing reimbursement rates, managing provider pay rates, and overseeing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to ensure industry-standard DSO and minimize denials.
- Expense Management: Assist with FTE planning, productivity metrics, offshore team expansion, and vendor management to optimize divisional expenses.
- Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with health plan contracts, minimum wage regulations, and company financial policies and procedures.
- Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with the data team to develop new metrics and reports that provide deeper business insights and identify growth opportunities, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strategic Partnerships: Work closely with the CFO to establish and manage outsourcing functions, including vendor relations, performance monitoring, and process improvement for offshore teams.
- M&A Support: Assist the Deals Team with acquisition diligence reviews and post-close integration, including financial analysis, purchase price allocation, accounting process transitions, and reporting alignment.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in finance and accounting or related function
- Experience in healthcare organization or with managed care plans required
- Bachelor's in accounting, finance, economics, or related field, required
- Experience partnering or overseeing RCM, a plus
- CPA or MBA certification, a plus
- Financial leadership within an organization of ~$20mm annual revenue
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, Quality of Earnings/Quality of Revenue reviews, EBITDA adjustments
- Understands SQL queries and an intermediate level, enough to be able to review team's work product and validate
- Superior Excel skills, lookups, index/match, pivot tables
