THE ROLE:In this role, you will oversee the finance and accounting activities for TEAM Public Choices and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting. You will be responsible for leading financial close processes, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. Additionally, you will participate in analysis of acquisition targets, contribute to process improvements and collaborate across functions to drive organizational success. This role will support the MN Brands of TEAM Public Choices, LLC, headquartered in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be the "CFO" to the Brand Leaders they support reporting to the MN VP of Finance. THE ROLE:In this role, you will oversee the finance and accounting activities for TEAM Public Choices and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting. You will be responsible for leading financial close processes, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. Additionally, you will participate in analysis of acquisition targets, contribute to process improvements and collaborate across functions to drive organizational success. This role will support the MN Brands of TEAM Public Choices, LLC, headquartered in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be the "CFO" to the Brand Leaders they support reporting to the MN VP of Finance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Financial Close Management: Lead financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting including revenue accounting, expense analysis, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews and intercompany allocations.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Analyze financial and operational data for trends, variances to budget/forecast, and improvement opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. Assist with development of management reporting and KPI's to better understand business performance. Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting with MN VP of Finance and Brand Leaders including development of revenue growth and expense assumptions.
- Business Partnership & Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to support the close process, budgeting, forecasting and strategic initiatives. Lead special projects and provide ad hoc financial analyses and recommendations as requested. Partner with brand leadership to understand opportunities and risks facing the business.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Assist MN VP of Finance with diligence and modeling of acquisition targets. Lead accounting and finance integration of acquisitions with support from corporate shared service team incorporating them into current processes. Support development of standard modeling and integration playbook.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and assist with the implementation of process improvements and controls to enhance efficiency and scalability across the accounting, finance, billing, collections and payroll functions.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is preferred.
- 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Proven ability to lead financial close processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
