Job Summary: The Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position involves managing various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Process and manage vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable: Prepare and send invoices to clients, follow up on overdue accounts, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• General Ledger: Post journal entries, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
• Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
• Expense Management: Monitor and manage company expenses, process employee expense reports, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
