Client Overview: Our client is a celebrated authority in the design and manufacturing of contemporary RTW, outerwear and leather clothing featured in major retailers including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macys and more.
Position Overview: Assistant to the contemporary design team responsible for all phases of design and development, preferable with a strong focus on off-price.
Assistant Designer Responsibilities:
- Create Initial sketches
- Specing reference samples
- Sourcing
- Tracking fabric sourcing
- Help prepare handoffs (BOMs, standards, trims)
- Tech packing
- Samples follow-up with suppliers
Assistant Designer Qualifications:
- Proficient in Illustrator
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week
- 1 year of experience in design, preferable in wholesale or private label
