Overview:

Our client is a leading provider of fine jewelry, specializing in private label brands such as Zales, Jared, and Kay. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fine Jewelry Merchandise Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchandising, sales, and a passion for the jewelry industry.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability within the fine jewelry category.

- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the industry.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, marketing, and sales to ensure effective execution of merchandise plans.

- Manage product assortment planning by analyzing historical data, current market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

- Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing terms and maintain positive relationships.

- Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.

- Analyze sales performance data regularly to identify areas for improvement or growth opportunities.

- Stay updated on industry trends including new product launches, competitor activities, pricing strategies etc.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

- Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising or related roles within the jewelry industry

- Strong knowledge of fine jewelry products including diamonds, gemstones etc. preferred

- Proven track record of successful merchandise planning and execution

- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data effectively

- Strong negotiation skills with vendors/partners

-Able handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
