SUMMARY:

The Lead Budtender is the subject matter expert on the dispensary floor, providing product knowledge to guests and the team by explaining and educating the benefits and differences between the products. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
  • Ability to assist, guide, and develop the Budtenders.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the floor, back of house, and other operations throughout the shift.
  • Ensure that all team members take their breaks, address guest service issues, and manage the receipt and intake of inventory. 
  • Fill out and submit shift logs, shift drawer check out forms, break fix requests, non-cannabis inventory and other forms. 
  • Able to conduct product conversions. 
  • Delegate tasks among team members, count and drop cash, help guests in the showroom, and promote teamwork. 
  • Stay up to date on al local and state cannabis laws and regulations. 
  • Providing best-in-class service that consistently exceeds our guests’ expectations. 
  • Responsible for maintaining the store in a clean, organized, safe manner with special attention paid to merchandising standards. 
  • Ability to execute all essential duties with a can-do attitude.
  • Check guests in to our system and perform budtender tasks, including register duties. 
  • Accountable for accurately utilizing the Point-of-Sale system(s) including but not limited to all discount codes, returns, exchanges, and other transactions. 
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture and values of the business. 
  • Ensure the store is inviting and welcoming to customers. 
  • Verify and receive all deliveries and implement daily deliveries in an accurate and compliant manner and time fame. 
  • Assist with organization of team lunches, breaks, and shift changes. 
  • Support with initial and ongoing training with team members to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies, and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
  • Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
  • Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Able to make difficult decision in a fair and honest manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise directly and indirectly all employees of the RetailDepartment. Adhere to the Tribal organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.

Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (MUST BE DOCUMENTED):

  • High School Diploma (or GED).
  • Two (2) years budtending or relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Cannabis retail experience required. 
  • Possess strong sales skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in phone etiquette and handling customer inquiries over the phone. 

CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older. 
  • Must pass periodic random drug screens.
  • Must be able to pass background suitability investigation. 
  • Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

The employee is occasionally required use repetitive movements to complete tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions, and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.

  • Multiple locations.
  • Some enterprises are open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; therefore, you must be flexible to work any and all hours.
  • Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
  • Must be available to work weekend and holidays.
  • Some enterprises are gaming facilities.
  • Some enterprises are not a smoke-free environment.
  • Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
