The Assistant Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to lead and oversee the FAST (Finance, Accounting, Systems, Technology) team members. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) to provide insights into the company's performance and identify areas for improvement while providing support and guidance to other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure FAST Team core processes are followed by all 
• Foster team culture throughout the company 
• Ensure high team member (iNPS)
• Ensuring accuracy and consistency through regular reconciliation of financial data while proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues
• FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) and Preparation of Monthly Financial Packets
• Overseeing the work of other accountants, providing mentorship, guidance training / development opportunities and support to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
• Possessing comprehensive knowledge of various accounting processes to address unfinished tasks and projects to maintain workflow continuity and meet deadlines
• On a monthly basis, oversee tasks such as sales tax, payroll, fraud recovery and prevention and various accounting process, diligently identifying any issues and providing effective solutions to ensure smooth operations

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Familiarity with: Netsuite, Avalara/AvaTax, GSuite Applications, Excel, UKG and Counterpoint
• Advanced accounting knowledge and financial analysis skills 
• Meticulous attention to detail 
• Technical proficiency and analytical thinking 
• Time management and prioritization skills
• High ethical standards 
• Ability to build relationships with other departments
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
• 3 years of progressive experience in Accounting 
• Previous category management experience
