3 Step Recruitment is Hiring an Assembler Installer Near Ontario, CA
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Assembler Installer holds the responsibility for the assembly and installation of the companies specialized vegetable equipment product line.
Salary: $24 - $30/hour $10/hour premium for out-of-town installs.
Schedule: Monday - Friday / 7:30am - 4:30pm (overtime, on-call and weekend work may be required during peak demand).
Responsibilities
- Assembles and fabricates mechanical parts to meet required specifications, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment.
- Reads, interprets, and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Responsible for trouble shooting, calibration and repair of equipment, electrical trouble shooting.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Upholds a high standard of workmanship and always maintains a professional image.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensures adherence to Health & Safety policies and applicable legislation.
- Post-secondary education - trade or college diploma in a related field.
- 3 years assembly experience required.
- Valid driver's license and clean abstract.
- Forklift certification.
- Passport for out-of-town US travel considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge & experience with specialized vegetable handling equipment and electrical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity, high attention to details performing work accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions.
- Strong customer service, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
