Inpatient call coverage 1:2 during business hours with MD support and collaboration. Manage care and assist with Interventional Neurology Endovascular Procedures. Ability to partner with exceptional physician mentor leads in our Interventional Neurology Department. Clinic patients include Stroke, TIA, Carotid Stenosis, Aneurysms, and Complex Neurological Disorders. Volumes: Inpatient: 2-4 consults per day with daily follow-up and rounding. Outpatient: 8-12 patients per day The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Position requires a high level of patient-centered skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. EDUCATION/TRAINING: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution. Prefer candidates with background/experience in Neurology or Stroke. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP). Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR National certification, in applicable area.
