Our client is a Fortune 200 global industrial manufacturer known for developing and promoting from within. They are seeking a Value Stream Team Leader for 2nd shift, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the value stream to ensure efficient operations, high-quality production, and on-time delivery. This position will oversee a team of employees and work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement and achieve business goals.
The Opportunity:
- Lead, manage, and develop a cross-functional team to achieve value stream objectives.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization.
- Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
- Facilitate problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve issues impacting production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain) to support production goals.
- Drive cost reduction efforts through process improvements and waste elimination.
- Develop and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on value stream performance.
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant field
- 3-5 years proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using production planning and management software.
- Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
